Active Discovery Field Trips July 1 ~ July 3, 2014
This year's Kidsphere summer program theme is active discovery. Out of the classroom, to the 'real' world. It begins with a guided field trip to
Cabrillo Marine Aquarium on July 1st. The student will gain better
awareness of our coastal environment. The historic Frank Gehry-designed
aquarium displays the largest collection of Southern California marine
life in the world!

Thank you for making the Children's Musical Summer happen. Hope to see you next summer!
Dates: July 15, 2013 ~ July 19, 2013 10:30AM – 12:30PM
Give children the gift of music this summer! A Children’s Musical Workshop teaches American traditional folk and campfire songs in a fun learning environment. In addition, the workshop covers: music theory, rhythm, music appreciation and small group guitar & ukelele lessons.
Meet our teacher:
Jared Cattoor is a
professional musician, guitarist, band director and music teacher. He
graduated from Musicians Institute in Hollywood and studied music at the
University of Missouri St. Louis. “I have experience teaching
different music classes to kids. I love being able to share music with
children. The perfect time to do it! I have a fun way of teaching them
that truly educates them by asking question rather than forcing them to
memorize a bunch of information. I will also play with them most of the
time! That's the way to learn it... Actually play. Not lecture and talk
about playing. Anyway I love being around kids and positively
influencing them. Especially with music!”
Location:
Irisphere is a gallery/studio space located in Mid-City, about 2
miles south of Hancock Park area and Miracle Mile in Los Angeles,
California.
